Deming, WA | 7/16/17 - On the final night of the Clay Cup Nationals at Deming Speedway before the night got started I talked to Kevin Wilkinson, Chase Randall (lone Texas Entry), Ashyln Rodriguez, Kyle Kennedy, Devon Borden, Tanner Holm, Levi Klatt, and Ben Worth. After the races I went down to the front stretch. I talked to 600 winner Jake Hogopian, 2nd place Jared Peterson, 3rd Chance Crum and 1200 winner Liam Ryan, 2nd place Jared Gunderson, 3rd place Steven Hendrickson, 600 restricted winner Colby Thornhill, 2nd place Colin Mackey, and your KKJR’s winner Jaden Whitney.

Once again a really fun 3 days hanging out with great people and watching great racing. Thank you to the entire staff and crew and all the racers that make Clay Cup at Deming Speedway such an incredible event. See you in 2018.

We talked about the race and all about Streby Speedway and how serious the racers take this event while still having fun.

Everett, WA | 7/5/17 - The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour finished up their Northwest swing with two nights at Grays Harbor Raceway for the Fred Brownfield Classic. Shaun talked to night 1 winner Matt Covington and rookie on the tour Styler Gee who had his best finish on the tour Friday night with a 5th place finish. Then after the races I talked to the winner of the Northwest Focus Midgets both nights Chance Crum, top 3 Roger Crockett, Johnny Herrera, and Wayne Johnson, and hard charger and 5th place finisher Blake Hahn.

Had a lot of fun last two weekends covering the races and can’t wait for their trip up here next year. Next race is the Clay Cup at Deming Speedway next weekend.

You will hear a whole range of emotions and get the feel for just how big of an event Dirt Cup is.

Everett, WA | 6/23/17 - Night 1 of the 2017 Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup is in the books. Before the races I talked to Northwest Focus Midget Drivers Shane Smith, Sawyer Lind, and Ray Stebbins, Chaplin Jim Sheppard of Racers for Christ, Sprint car drivers Greg Hamilton, and Harli White. We got to learn a little about their story which is an awesome part of this podcast and why I love to do it. Then another important part of the podcast is to recap the night and I do that by talking to the Top 5 of night 1 Aaron Reutzel, Seth Bergman, Trey Starks, Jason Solwold, Roger Crockett, and the top 2 in the Northwest Focus Midgets Tristin Thomas, and Chance Crum.

I want to thank Skagit Speedway and Carla and Gaylon Stewart for allowing me to talk to these people and giving me the access.

How about we do this all over again Friday night?
